Audrey's Arrival

Audrey was born July 20, 2007 at around 7:50 pm at 7 lbs. She took around 12 hours to come after I started contractions in the morning. I didn't have an epidural, but had a sedative to help with the pain. She was rushed to the Neonatal intensive care unit because she wasn't breathing very well when she was born. 

She recovered in a couple days, but was jaundice. I became really sick with Preclampisa after she was born, so I wasn't released for about week and had to take blood pressure medicine for a couple of months. 

Luckily I recovered in a few months, but it was an adjustment being a new mom while I was recovering. Audrey became colic and screamed for hours at night after her feedings. Despite some of the challenges we love being parents! We are glad Audrey is our daughter!
